Here we wish to share with you five of the most famous viewpoints around the lake. You can easily visit them all from
Riva del Garda, during your stay at the Astoria Resort.
Bastione
Located on the slopes of Mount Rocchetta, at two hundred meters above sea level, the Bastione is one of the symbols of Riva del Garda. It was built in the early 16th century to protect the village below, and destroyed in 1703 by French troops led by General Vendome. It can be easily reached following the path that climbs upwards through the vegetation, or using the brand-new inclined lift that connects it with the historic center of Riva.
Punta Larici
Punta Larici is one of the best-known and most visited viewpoints over Lake Garda, and it can be reached with a 90-minute walk from the village of Pregasina. The entire route is shaded, and can be tackled easily even in the summer months. Once you make it to the top, you can let your gaze travel from the far north of the lake, with the towns of Riva del Garda and Torbole, to the south, where the lake begins to widen.
